Welcome to New York Fashion Week!
Last year I was prepping my schedule to walk the streets of NYC to attend my first Fashion Week, bucket list item checked off. Now I’m in LA covering from afar but still just as excited.
Hedi Slimane presented the Saint Laurent women’s Pre-Fall and men’s Fall 2016 collection on Wednesday, Feb. 10 at the Palladium theater in Los Angeles. Why wasn’t I invited?
The California, Bowie, Jagger-like, rockstar inspired line was filled with pinstripes, velvet, blazers, skinny jeans, music notes and subdued autumn hues. Here I pointed out four of my favorite looks from the 90+ piece collection. Anything black = be still my heart. Gold is the metallic of the moment, (check out Jessica Alba‘s bitchin’ look at this event). Plaid suits are super in and the teal dress – get outta here! Rocks my world!
Needless to say celebs such as Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Zac Efron, the Fannings and Kravits and many more attended the runway show. Glitter on the eyelids was the cool new trend for the models and attendees. According to Vogue, who was obviously there: “The show space was set up as a stage with seating around the perimeter, with moving light arches suspended from the ceiling.”
