It’s my birthday week and Shakira has given me an early birthday present! Music Monday brings a collaboration with She Wolf herself and Rihanna.

“Can’t Remember To Forget You” is the brand new single released today and it already has over 2.2 million views. The song starts off with a rasta type, Latin and Island flavor as MTV put it, and begins with Shakira, transitioning to Rihanna singing about a guy that they can’t seem to get out of their mind even though they must. While at first I would say this is a random pairing, I must say I should have seen it coming. Their unique voices and the beats go great together.

The tune is off of Shakira’s upcoming album due March 25th. Shakira will also be returning to The Voice with mentor Miranda Lambert, oh snap on Blake, in February!
