Jason Mraz strongly believes that love is worth fighting for.

For the past couple of years, following the release of his fifth studio album, “Yes!,” the 41-year-old singer has been figuring out how his music, his passion and his purpose could align to continue to inspire others. Now, with the upcoming release of his latest LP, “Know,” Mraz is doing just that, but it wasn’t an easy ride.

“I was starting to get a bit nervous that I didn’t know what the world needed,” Mraz tells me exclusively over the phone about the difficulties he encountered during the process of creating “Know.” “Or that I didn’t know what I even had to offer.”

Chrysta Bell’s Forthcoming Album ‘We Dissolve’ Has A Release Date

Chrysta Bell, longtime musical partner of filmmaker David Lynch, is set to release her sophomore album, “We Dissolve,” with award-winning producer John Parish on June 9.

Recorded in Bristol, UK, “We Dissolve” is a pop record with elements of soul, rock and jazz that features contributions from guest artists including Adrian Utley (Portishead), keyboardist Geoff Downes (Asia, Yes) and drone metal guitarist Stephen O’Malley of Sunn O)).

Lauren Alaina – “Road Less Traveled” album

Known as the runner-up on the tenth season of “American Idol,” Alaina released her sophomore album “Road Less Traveled” on January 27. The country singer describes the LP as having themes of self acceptance and love. “We are all different and that’s what makes us all beautiful. The album will reflect that further,” she told the Albuquerque Journal. “It will have some fun songs and sad songs – a little bit of what my life has been like over the past few years.”

This year I want bring back my Music Monday segment on La Vida Liz to spotlight new music, what I’m listening to and hopefully get new recommendations.

This past weekend I was listening to John Mayer’s first wave of songs from his upcoming album “The Search for Everything.” He had already released “Love on the Weekend” and has now shared three new tracks. Mayer plans to release four new songs from his forthcoming album once a month until the project’s official release.

The Maine Release ‘Am I Pretty’ Music Video

The Maine released the music video for their latest single “Am I Pretty” from their album “American Candy.” The Arizona-based quintet send a powerful message about self-love and embracing the qualities that make you unique and different.

The five minute video starts with a diverse group of people talking about incidents in their life when they were criticized, told they weren’t good enough and other obstacles that they have had to endure. We then see lead-singer John O’Callaghan, Kennedy Brock, Pat Kirch, Jared Monaco and Garrett Nickelsen, all dressed in blue suits, setting up to start the song.
