Every Fashion Week the show that I look most forward to is Valentino. The recent designs of Pierpaolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri for Summer/Spring 2016 were just exquisite and immediately after the show I always have to look at every piece once it’s posted online. Last season the house wow-ed us with having “Zoolander” stars Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson walk the runway, this time during Paris Fashion Week they opted for a more celeb catwalk-free spectacle and more of an African inspired collection. Take a look for yourself!
The fashion house had a total of 89 looks all inspired by the “wild, tribal Africa” and featured Masai-style beadwork, embroidery, leatherwork, batik-printed parkas, adorned with feathers and beads and chokers created by Alessandro Gaggio. The embellishments were out of this world with intricate details and touches of deep burgundy, olive green, gold and white in between.
Below are just a handful of the most eye-catching designs that are Liz approved 😉 enjoy!
