Golden Globes 2017: Best Looks of the Night [Photos]

Awards season kicked off on Sunday, January 8 with the 74th annual Golden Globe Awards. This year I was stunned at how many amazing red carpet looks I fell in love with. Last night’s looks ranged from sexy and princess-like, to modern tuxedo suits and elegant fitted silhouettes.

Here are my favorite looks of the night and the designers they wore.

Trends of the night included plunging necklines and women who weren’t afraid to wear suits. I absolutely adored Mandy Moore‘s Naeem Khan cape dress, she looked angelic. Ruth Negga has become one of my favorites and that shimmering Louis Vuitton dress was like liquid gold! I personally believe that Kristen Bell and her Jenny Packham dress deserved way more attention!

I couldn’t get enough of the following four looks. The detail on Jessica Biel‘s Elie Saab gown is magnificent, simple yet elegant and showing just enough skin. People may say that chokers are so 2016, but the black bow necklace that Michelle Williams wore with her Louis Vuitton dress really brought the look together. Kathryn Hahn killed it in a simple black Brandon Maxwell suit and bra.

Evan Rachel Wood exuded elegance in her Altuzarra custom tuxedo. The “Westworld” star reminded women everywhere that you don’t always have to wear a ball gown to look beautiful.

“I decided early in the year not to wear any dresses to awards shows to be a gentle reminder to young girls and women that you’re not required one if you don’t want to, to really be yourself and that your worth is more than the dresses that you wear,” Wood told USA Today.
