This year I want bring back my Music Monday segment on La Vida Liz to spotlight new music, what I’m listening to and hopefully get new recommendations.

This past weekend I was listening to John Mayer’s first wave of songs from his upcoming album “The Search for Everything.” He had already released “Love on the Weekend” and has now shared three new tracks. Mayer plans to release four new songs from his forthcoming album once a month until the project’s official release.

The Maine – “Bad Behavior”

The Maine also released their first song from their upcoming sixth studio album “Lovely Little Lonely,” which will be released on April 7, 2017. The single is titled “Bad Behavior” and is catchy as hell. The band will also be going on a world tour this year, click here for more info.

Lady Antebellum – “You Look Good”

After a short hiatus, Lady Antebellum is back with “You Look Good,” the first single from their sixth studio album, “Heart Break,” out June 9.

“We’ve always loved experimenting with different instruments and sounds in the studio, but we’ve never used horns before,” Dave Haywood said in the statement, via Billboard. “The energy they brought to this song is really fun and was validation for all three of us that it had to be our first single back.”

Train – “Drink Up”

Train’s latest single, “Drink Up,” has received mixed reviews from fans. Check it out for yourself and see what you think.

Arcade Fire – “I Give You Power”

“I Give You Power” is Arcade Fire’s first track since 2013’s “Reflektor.” The band released the single before Inauguration Day with the following statement: “It’s never been more important that we stick together and take care of each other.”

New Discovery of the Week: Austra – “We Were Alive” album

Sometimes I like to go on Spotify and just click through the new music section and listen to artists I’ve never heard about or listened to before. This week my new discovery is: “Future Politics” by Austra.

I’m not familiar with the band and the music is a little different that what I’m used to, but it was worth a listen.
