Flashback Friday: ‘Beautiful, Dirty, Rich’ – Lady Gaga

Bang, bang. We’re beautiful and dirty rich!

Gahhh, I miss this Lady Gaga! The one that I would have loved to party with, have a dance-off and with whom I’d love to run the town.

Not saying I wouldn’t do it now but come on, she was like the coolest chick in town when she told me, “Just dance. Gonna be okay. Da-doo-doo-doo.”

To lighten up your spirits (and mine), in this gloomy LA day, or wherever you may be at, let’s Flashback Friday to “Beautiful, Dirty, Rich” by Mama Monster herself and relive those moments we danced in front of our mirror, with our chicas and jumped on the bed saying,

“Daddy I’m so sorry, I’m so s-s-sorry yeah. We just like to party, like to p-p-party yeah!”

Umm, was that just me? Eh, either way…

Happy Friday!

Music Video Monday: Fall Out Boy – “Centuries”

Today for Music Monday we’ll take it back, but not too far back to Fall Out Boy’s music video for “Centuries.”

I had this in my drafts and finally decided that I should publish it, call it laziness or just because I had to take a break from typing all day and this is what was easiest and I’m currently typing my recap of “The Originals.” Haha anyway…

It’s funny how FOB went through a stage where they were super cool, then it was nerdy to like them and then they went away and when they got back together they were the “IT” thing. I mean I always liked them, I wasn’t like a die-hard fan but I enjoyed their tunes.

So take a moment and listen to this song on your Monday night and tell me if you like or dislike.

Music Monday: Iggy Azalea feat. Rita Ora “Black Widow”

Welcome to a start of a new week!

While things have been up and down on this site, I suffered from tendonitis and mild carpel tunnel but am feeling much better.

Anywayyy…Let’s get things up and running this fine Monday, August 18th with some jams!

My selection for Music Monday will have to be the new video by Iggy Azalea featuring Rita Ora, “Black Widow.”

While I have battled with my like and dislike with the rapper, I have to say that I do enjoy this song.

What can I say, the heart likes what the heart likes.

This “Kill Bill” inspired vid is pretty slamin’ with the duo seeking revenge upon an ex-“thirty” lover. Kicking ass and taking names we see the singers dip into some martial arts and even get a guest appearance by T.I.

Let me know what you think of the song and video.

Happy Monday

xoxo L.C. ❤

Music Monday: “Snap Out Of It” – Arctic Monkeys

Happy Monday lovely peeps!

Snap out of the weekend mode and jump start the week with this jamming’ jam from the Arctic Monkeys, “Snap Out Of It.”

Not going to lie, I have no idea what is happening in the video and it left me somewhat confused at the end, but that doesn’t really matter because I enjoy the song.

My current obsessions in the music world still include the Arctic Monkeys, followed by the soundtrack of “Begin Again” and I would have to say that I can’t get enough of Enrique Iglesias “Bailando.”

I must admit that I do need some new music suggestions, so hit me up and let me know what’s new, hoppin’ and poppin’ yeah!

Remember: Start off the week with a 🙂

Music Monday: “A Sky Full Of Stars” – Coldplay

OK so I am obsessed with everything Coldplay and this performance of their latest hit, “A Sky Full of Stars” on The Voice is exceptional!

The way that the light, the stage and the performance blends so well just makes me so happy and brightens my mood. And hey, who doesn’t need a mood booster every once in a while.

So begin the week with a little bit of my favorite band and one of their best songs.

Pharrell – “Marilyn Monroe”

Can we have a moment of silence for the new amazing Pharrell music video?

Just released today, “Marilyn Monroe” has got me spinning in my chair and hitting replay over and over again.

His second single off of “GIRL” has a guest appearance from Kelly Osbourne and choreographer/director Fatima Robinson, who I especially love since she has worked with BSB and did their choreography for “As Long As You Love Me.”

Ok, so watch the video, enjoy all of his Vivienne Westwood hats, wish that you were one of the lucky ladies included in this vid and hit repeat once or twice or a hundred times.

“Out of My League” – Fitz And The Tantrums #MM

I don’t know much about this band and I’ve never heard of them before this catchy tune hit the radio. “Out of My League” is definitely in the top 5 of my fav songs of the moment and which good reason.

It’s a great nodding, swaying, snapping song that makes me want to go buy the vinyl version of their album and just have a 50’s dance party in my house…too much?

Anyway, Fitz And The Tantrums really impressed me with this song and once I find a great song I like I tend to go look for more from that artist. What I have learned is that they are from Los Angeles and they received great attention from their debut album “Pickin’ Up The Pieces.”

Formed in 2008, the indie-neo soul band was named “Ones to Watch” in 2011 Rolling Stone. Good for them.

Enjoy and let me know what you think!

Music Monday: “Do I Wanna Know” – Arctic Monkeys

Sometimes after a long day of writing you need to go home and write some more, right?

Happy Monday!

It’s a new week filled with more beginnings and lessons. While I vent it out by listening to music let me give you a little taste of what I’ve been listening to lately.

“Do I Wanna Know” by the Arctic Monkeys is sensual and sexual in all the right ways. The slow rock beats are pretty amazin’, if I do say so myself. Every time it’s on I can’t help but turn up the volume and just mellow out.

Listen for yourself, enjoy the sounds of this great song and suggests more songs that I should check out!

Music Monday: Katy Perry Feat. Juicy J “Dark Horse”

Katy Perry has released her music video for the music anticipated song “Dark Horse” featuring rapper Juicy J and let me tell you it’s genius.

Now I might be a little biased since the song is #1 on my playlist right now, but whether you like her or not, the video is an imagery spectacle. From bright colors, Egyptian themes, outstanding make-up and even tasty treats, Perry is looking might fine. Her Cleopatra inspired vid not only shows her in her favorite colored wigs but also in the nude covered in silver paint.

She sure is a beast and it does get a little ridiculous when she eats hot Cheetos and then begs for water only to be shot down. Then there’s Juicy J with a hydraulic carriage, is that Boo Boo the dog I see? Well it’s visually great and I give it a thumbs up!
