Jason Mraz strongly believes that love is worth fighting for.
For the past couple of years, following the release of his fifth studio album, “Yes!,” the 41-year-old singer has been figuring out how his music, his passion and his purpose could align to continue to inspire others. Now, with the upcoming release of his latest LP, “Know,” Mraz is doing just that, but it wasn’t an easy ride.
“I was starting to get a bit nervous that I didn’t know what the world needed,” Mraz tells me exclusively over the phone about the difficulties he encountered during the process of creating “Know.” “Or that I didn’t know what I even had to offer.”
Today I woke up a little happier, many people via social media were excited and in good spirits about it being Monday. Positivity was all around!
It may be gloomy outside but my spirits are high and with a gingerbread latte in hand I give you my Music Monday selection.
Travie McCoy featuring Jason Mraz “Rough Waters”, an unlikely pairing but I must say, I dig it!
The song talks about relationships, breakups and never letting go of your loved one when you’re sinking. As McCoy and Mraz travel around NYC we get a very chill atmosphere with Travie’s slick rhymes and Jason’s smooth silky voice that complements the rapper’s tune. Following in what would seem like another “Billionaire” song type with Bruno Mars back in the day, with some R&B, soft rock feel, this song is easily a hit!
Listen and let me know you’re thoughts! Are you into it or not so much?
It’s hump day, the middle of the week, so much closer to the weekend. Yes, you’re tired and maybe over thinking. Just Stop!
Relax! When life gets a bit stressful I like to listen to “The Remedy” by Jason Mraz. The chorus really gets me, “I won’t worry my life away.”
Take a break, unwind and listen to this song. Just a small break and a catchy tune can really turn your day around. Try it and if it doesn’t then OK, tell me what your unwinding activity and way of getting rid of stress is?
Together we can get over our hump day slump!
