Welcome back to Hart of Dixie recap day! Refresh your BlueBell memory with last week’s recap HERE!

BlueBell is under merging problems and Lavon is still not into being out and about around town. To make him feel better AnnaBeth makes him an amazing breakfast but not good enough to make him go out.

Oh heck no! Did George just say Tanzy in his sleep while he was next to Lynly. With a push off the bed George has to explain himself, but all’s well. Zoe on the other hand is being patronized by Joel on her creativity and decids he would edit a speech she was to make at a family gathering.

Shelby has now lost her creative director and the opening of her cabaret club is right around the corner. She is frantic and asks Brick to help and cancel all his appointments for the day. AnnaBeth and Brick are in dire need of Lemon whose scheming and plotting are all welcome at this time of need. So as Lemon is video chatted in she helps the Belles with the merger and Brick with the Shelby, creative director situation. Her advice, get the worst director to tank the opening and make Shelby disappear. Naturally Zoe walks in and volunteers herself! Well here we go!

Day one of Zoe and the “One Cellular Sensation” and she has high hopes for all the cast members. Joel does persist and asks if he is needed and would be of help but it’s a no for Z. She is so thrilled to be directing the show that she doesn’t see how Joel is trying to warn her about how maybe Brick plotted something with Lemon to get rid of Shelby. When he does flat out say it, Zoe says Brick would never do that.

Tanzy is down in the dumps with her beau but George comes to the rescue to tell her he is a jerk. But Tanzy won’t have it as she called Lynly a “crazy-eyed girl”, of course she creeps up behind them which makes for a quick exit for Tanzy. Cricket is out on the town trying to get Maryanne Matthews to stay in BlueBell. Now that her car is broken down Lavon steps in and tells her that the people of BlueBell are unique and they love their town. She spots the cabaret sign and asks for a front and center table as she is a fanatic of the showbiz. But oh boy is she in for a “cellular treat”.

Anyone else still annoyed by Wade and Vivian? Wade proposes a night out at a dive bar and Vivian agrees but Tanzy lets Wade know that she is a classy lady and he needs to step it up for her. Wade changes plans and Vivian has to change them so she won’t be able to go out with him. Though Wade is now over thinking about the hair flip Vivian does that Tanzy told him about. Hair flips equal uncomfortableness.

Lemon is on a good one this episode, via video chat that is. After contacting the Belles and her father, her next victim is Lavon who needs a pep in his step to do something about the merger. Then Lemon is on to George to give him a push towards Scooter and lawyering him out. As the four of them, George, Scooter, Tanzy and Lynly go on a hike things get heated when BlueBell and Fillmore merging talk comes up. George tells him about how they know about the shopping mall, Tanzy convinces George that Lynly might be a bit crazy and Scooter leaves frustrated by the fact that Tanzy spied on him.

While Brick confronts Shelby about driving him crazy and being unable to resist her, she faints and ends up at the doctors with low blood pressure. Now it’s bed rest for her and the cabaret is under Joel’s command per Zoe’s instructions. So it’s a revamp of the “Cellular Sensation” and back to the old 12 minutes of Shelby-inspired cabaret and to save the town!

With Mrs. Matthews front and center the show begins. With a slow start, the cabaret is well, a, um…disaster. But wait! Shelby to the rescue, baby bump and all! In a carriage or should I say hospital bed, and bedazzled red sparkling outfit, there’s no stopping her now, add a kick line and her performance is a hit! Mrs. Matthews absolutely adored the show and discovered that the BlueBell people really do love their town. Merger saved!

Back in Wade town he makes a stop at Vivian’s house to see how she is. Embarrassed to tell Wade what her real problem is he starts to worry. But not to fret, it’s just that she is a single mother, has a little boy and loves her job and just can’t hang like the kiddos do. In George land, with Lynly drunk and asleep, Tanzy and George share a conversation outside his boat. They both tell each other it was harder to see the other with another person and Tanzy says, “sometimes I think i should’ve never let you go.” As she puts her head on his shoulder, the shot pans out to reveal Lynly overhearing their conversation.

Zoe Hart isn’t all done with her “One Cellular Sensation” show. She gives Joel one last song and it’s bed time for them. OK maybe they’re cute together but they ain’t no Zade, or Woe…Wade and Zoe, you get the what I’m trying to say.

Come back next week for another Hart of Dixie Recap!

Hart of Dixie Recap: “Miracles” – Midseason Finale

HART OF DIXIE

It’s the midseason finale of Hart of Dixie and Hanukkah is coming around the corner for Joel and Zoe. But let’s not forget the bigger problem here Dr. Brick is going to be a dad! Forgot all about that? Recap last week’s episode HERE!

Joel’s nanna Sylvie is in town to celebrate Hanukkah and absolutely adores Zoe. She is a lovely lady who believes that this holiday is a time for miracles and reminds us that its a time to expect the unexpected.

Funny how things in BlueBell happen unexpectedly, Brick runs into Shelby who is so excited to see him and tells him all about Fancys and totally misses the news about her baby bump, Tanzy is back in town and Zoe has a patient who happened to be her uncle and gets along with him splendidly. She asks him to lunch with Joel and his nanna, they have a great time and Uncle Brando ends up taking a liking to Sylvie. Until Vivienne, Zoe’s cousin who greatly dislikes her, takes Brando away and tells Zoe to never get in contact with the Wilkes.

The Harvest Festival is upon BlueBell and things are going to get interesting. Brick has a date with Shelby and desperately needs an intervention as he is getting over his head with the baby situation. Lemon has to call up Grandma Breeland to take measures into her hands who unexpectedly advices Brick to marry Shelby.

Hart of Dixie Recap: “Family Traditions”

HART OF DIXIE

Hart of Dixie was all new last night and thank goodness for Joel, who’s slowly gaining our approval. Speaking of approval, last week’s episode made Zoe’s new boy toy’s numbers of ‘likes’ rise, while Wade was still not too convinced Joel is Mr. Right. Click HERE for a full recap!

This week AnnaBeth is up to something and Lavon is going to Vegas for a bachelor party. Lynly is being very “George Tucker will be mine” and I don’t know how I feel about that. Zoe Hart tries to connect with family and Lemon gets an offer that is too good to be true.

The best restaurant in the area has come calling for Lemon, Edward owner of Fancies is thinking of retiring and giving the business to miss Lemon. As the Rammer Jammer is hitting it’s all time high, Lemon is thinking about buying Fancies and making her dreams come true. As she thinks things through she decides to break ties with Wade and give Edward an offer. Sadly the offer was too low and Lemon ask Wade to take her back. Wade the good Samaritan, tells Lemon of course, but will this be enough for her?

Joel persuades Zoe to call up her relatives as they embark on their house hunting spree. Finally realizing that family is forever she decides to crash a relative’s birthday party. Overwhelmed by so many people, Zoe does her quirky thing she always does and upon arrival when she is asked if she is the entertainment she says yes, making Joel be the magician for the birthday party.

Zoe ends up loving everything about the Wilkes and decides that she is going to tell them who she is after she had lied to them about her identity as the magician’s manager and her name being Chloe. She finally opens up to her cousin who she was bonding so well with, unfortunately things turn sour when she says she is Zoe Hart and all her cousin has to say is, just because you’re in the blood line doesn’t mean you belong. Ouch!

Family Tradition

Seem’s like AnneBeth’s parent’s are in town, thus we discover why she was so willing to let Lavon go out for a fun boys weekend. Worried that football rivalries might come between them, AB invites them over to have a happy family gathering then Lavon turns up and they try and make peace with her parents. Funny how they turn up the second time with Lavon’s team colors and jersey number. They love him! As they try and shmooze up to Lavon, we find out that they are really pushing marriage for their little BananaBeth!

As things get fired up with AnnaBeth’s parent’s nudging Lavon about weddings. AB stands up to them and tells them they are adults and will figure things out by themselves. As they depart for the night, Lavon makes AB upset when he tells her he is in no rush to marry. As AnnaBeth tells him that she needs more from Lavon, she needs to know that they are on the same Path.

Talking about Paths, Lynly is just pushing her luck with George as she tries making him jealous any second she gets. As Tucker falls for her tricks she demands that he kiss her and to let them be together. Poor broken hearted George says he can’t, but then he does. So we’ll see what’s to come for these two. The episode ends with Zoe talking to Joel about her family and how she didn’t realize how much she wanted them until she saw how happy they were. But as things are always up and down for Miss Hart we know Joel is there to take care of her.

Next week looks like Joel is kidnapped and Zoe and Wade go to his rescue! Here’s to hoping for a spicier and more adventurous episode!

Hart of Dixie Recap: “How Do You Like Me Now”

HART OF DIXIE

From last week’s episode we see that Joel is adjusting well to BlueBell life and some new love is coming towards Lemon. To read up on last week’s episode click HERE.

Last night’s episode “How Do You Like Me Now”, begins with Joel settling into the small town and getting acquainted with having a “usual” at the Rammer Jammer. Zoe Hart couldn’t be happier that her lover boy is doing well, even though word on the street is that only 13% of BB citizens think that Joel is the right guy for her.

hartof

Peter, who was Lemon’s one night charming stand, is now off on assignment and the Belles think that Lemon is making up fake boyfriends to cover up leaving “Mr. Perfect” at the Masquerade Ball. Meanwhile, Lavon needs Lemon’s help with the gazebo so it can be featured in an article, so he asks her to reconsider helping the Belles. Lemon agrees only if he assists her letting everyone know that Peter is real, and figure out his last name. As this goes on, Meatball is on the quest of getting Lemon back. No luck for him though as Lemon shuts him down nicely.

Aware that 87% of townspeople aren’t for Team Joel, Zoe plans to make him popular and so our story begins. First she is determined to teach her man to drive against his will and thus causing him to rear end the Reverend. Once more getting himself into a debacle because of Zoe, Joel gets casts as the bad guy who can’t catch a break.

Anyway, as we continue in the land of Zoe Hart, she volunteers herself and Joel to go out into the woods with the Christian youth group. Finding out that Joel is afraid of heights and isn’t too fond of zip-lining with the campers, Zoe tells Joel that 13% of townspeople approve of him. Joel not being one to care tells Zoe that he is not going. Now needing someone to replace Joel, she enlists George without luck. She does get someone to help her though but the Rev, not satisfied with Zoe’s selection of a back-up counselor enlists George himself to go even though he had refused when Zoe had asked him before.

Little Lynly is back in town and with a peace offering for George. Last minute swapped to be G.T’s partner at game night, they bond over trivia and sparks continue to fly. As a date is set for the two, George cancels and as we see that he goes on the camping trip with Zoe.

As camping adventures begin, we find out through the tweens that the poll stats were so low because everyone thinks that Zoe should be with George. We even get a taste on the song that he wrote about her. “It all started when George Tucker found New York doctor on the side of the road.” After George tells Zoe that he wishes he had never met her, she tells him that’s not true and that he was the first one to accept her in BlueBell and that she misses him.

hartofdi

After Joel learns why everyone loves George and why they think that George and Zoe belong together and he is merely a supporting character in this love story, Joel decides to rewrite this story and go into the woods after her. Things get good when Wade, ex-BF as well, says he will take Joel. Can you say love square?

Drunk Joel accompanied by designated driver Wade, faces his fear of heights to prove he is worthy of Zoe and better than beloved George Tucker. Funny though, as Joel is on his quest for proving his love, Wade whispers to Zoe that everyone’s got it wrong and that he knows Zoe is still in love with him. Oh swoon, Wade be still my heart, I mean what?!

hartofd

Once Joel is rescued from landing mid zip-line, George apologizes to Zoe and says they can be acquaintances for now. He heads over to Lynly’s place to tell her that he can’t do this with her right now. She says that it is perfectly fine but that she will keep at him and wear him down. The Reverend apparently had a really great sermon after getting some and Joel’s numbers doubled which makes for a very happy Zoe.

What did you think of last night’s episode? Team George, Wade or Joel?
