danielle_rose_russell_the_originals_cw

Where there’s Hope Mikaelson, there’s a way.

With only a couple episodes left until fans say goodbye to “The Originals,” viewers will either witness a happy ending or see the city of New Orleans go down in flames — it all depends on how Danielle Rose Russell’s character, Hope, decides to handle her emotions.

“Hope is extremely powerful,” Russell, 18, tells me over the phone ahead of episode nine, “We Have Not Long to Love.” “No one has seen what she can do. So, in the next coming episodes, we get to see how powerful she truly is, after all, [she has all] this combined magic inside of her.”

Marcel-Elijah-and-Lenore-4

Back with Elijah, Marcel’s new vamp  proceeds to take Elijah to Lenore who tells the witch that he wants to find out how he can find out which body a certain witch will jump into next. The Originals Recap: “Crescent City”

Opening scene a girl in a tomb screaming for help, Celeste is giving a guided tour to tourists in the cemetery and hello girl blasts out of the brick wall. Lo and behold it’s none other than Monique, Sophie’s niece!

Recap last week’s episode HERE, to refresh your memory on what’s happening on The Originals.

The church is up and running and Father Kieran welcomes the new people into the church. While he says goodbye to all the church people one witch grabs his hand, curses him and marks an x on his hand. Death is on the horizon for him. Now Marcel knows about the resurrected witch and thinks this is how they will get Davina back. Hayley thinks it’s the work of Celeste who Davina was warning them with with the picture she drew. Now Elijah who was Celeste’s lover is worried that Hayley might be in danger and begs Rebekah to take her to the plantation house. Bekah questions if this is to get her out of the way so she doesn’t plot against Klaus or because he truly wants Hayley to be safe.

Klaus knows that the witches are plotting against them and that they are raging war on them since the body of Papa Tunde is put in his home with the witches symbols. Father Kieran goes to the bar Cami works at and tells her that his time is limited, she gets scared and then a red headed witch tells her that she can save her uncle if she takes the knife that Papa Tunde had and stab it through Klaus’ heart.

Hart of Dixie Recap: “One More Last Chance”

20140113-202119.jpg

After last week’s musical episode can we get some normalcy in BlueBell. Joel and Zoe are on the look for a new place to stay and Wade is ready to meet Viviene’s son. The town is ready to win the hearts of everyone and continue to save BlueBell. Catch up with last week’s episode HERE!

Zoe is upset that Viviene lied to her about her Aunt Winifred and how she is an evil cranky aunt. She confronts her and it’s because Zoe is a New Yorker and she hates New Yorkers. But Zoe is in love with a property that Aunt Winifred has and hopes that she can get her to like her. So then Zoe is trusted with taking care of Viviene’s son Harley while she is on her date with Wade that night. Wade gets the chance to meet Viv’s son and it looks like things are going great until he asks for ice cream and when she is gone to grab some, he tells Wade that his salamander will kill him in his sleep if he doesn’t break up with his mom. Oh snap!

Tanzy and Lynly have been hanging out a bit much and George is all flustered by the idea. Now that Tanzy is broken up and single he keeps thinking it’s weird. Then on a girls day, Lynly accidentally burns off her hair and George thinks she did it on purpose.

Lieutenant Governor Bird is coming to town and everyone, especially Lavon, is freaking out trying to impress him. While AnnaBeth is putting up a picture of him in Brick’s offices, Shelby sees it and gets flustered. Hmm is there something we’re missing here.

Wade and Viviene are out on their date and Joel and Zoe are babysitting, which isn’t going so well as their place isn’t kid friendly and then Harley goes all Dr. Phil on them and forces them to argue about who’s afraid of commitment. As Wade and Viv are getting all steamy, the doorbell rings and there’s Joel and Zoe with her son. None very happy at all.  The next day Zoe and Joel discuss how they need to get out of that B&B and the only place they agree on is Aunt Winifred place so they make a plan to win her over. First step to this plan is to get Wade to talk Zoe up while Zoe talks up Wade to little Harley.

It’s “Action” time for BlueBell as they try to win over Lieutenant Governor’s approval. The town is at its best and nothing can go wrong. Well there’s one thing that could go wrong. Shelby calls AnnaBeth for an emergency and it’s just because she’s hungry and can’t go into town. Why is that? She’s avoiding someone, actually she’s avoiding the man she slept with 8 months ago…um could this mean that the Lieutenant could be Shelby’s baby daddy? AnnaBeth surprised by the news tells Shelby that she better tell him that he is the father.

Things aren’t going to well at Aunt Winifred’s, first intro and she already insults them and walks away while little Harley keeps telling Wade off. Wade finds the right words to convince Winifred to accept Zoe while Zoe finds the key word that wins over Harley for Wade. After Wade helps him build the perfect fort he helps him unload his backpack but accidentally tosses his beloved salamander with it. Oh no!

Looks like BlueBell and the Lieutenant are hitting it off, though a minor bump in the road occurs as George and Lynly start to have a small fight when they are supposed to kiss. Tanzy calls her crazy eyes and tells George to ask her why she said that when she was curling her hair it smelt like popcorn. George keeps thinking that Lynly might have done it on purpose and after they kiss when they are supposed to, she runs off crying. George goes to see her and they talk it out but turns out that Lynly has decided to leave town and go back home.

Right when the Lieutenant has agreed to sign the papers to save BlueBell Shelby comes in to give him the wonderful news! Um, wrong choice. Another wrong choice, Zoe taking the blame for Wade losing little Harley’s salamander. She makes up a story about looking through his backpack for lip balm and Aunt Winifred blames it on her New-York-ness and tells her she will not rent her the house. Wade, being the good guy goes to Harley and tells him the truth about losing Siezzle his Salamander. Then Viviene and Zoe show up with Siezzle, but he’s not fooled he knows that this one isn’t the same one and that Siezzle 2 hates Wade as well.

Now the Lieutenant is all worked up about the recent news Shelby gave him. He goes to talk to her and after Shelby is with Brick telling him the whole truth about the Lieutenant and the baby and how she is leaving BlueBell. Looks like there’s more than one goodbye in this episode. Lavon sadly tells the people at the Rammer Jammer that BlueBell is not saved but then the Lieutanent arrives and says he forgot t o sign the papers and declares BlueBell a historic landmark. Joel and Zoe decide to get a home, but Joel tells her that they will buy it. This is a new, huge step for this lovely couple. It also seems like things are good between Viviene and Wade and everyone is a happy couple.

We’ll see what Hart of Dixie brings us next week!

The Originals Recap: “Apres Moi, Le Deluge”

Witches are reigning in New Orleans. Need a recap of the previous episode? Click HERE!

Celeste was a powerful witch, just like Davina but had an unfortunate death and now has been coming back to New Orleans in the form of Davina’s drawings. But what is the meaning of her drawings? As Elijah, Klaus and Hayley are talking about the “all powerful”, Davina is enraged with Marcel throwing a fit, but as she continues to throw things at him she pauses and starts throwing up dirt and stones. The house shakes as well as the whole town.

Rebekah goes to check on her and tells her that she told her to go easy on causing havoc. But Davina insists that it is beyond her control. Elijah knowing that this is a witch’s problem decides to go to them, not until Hayley informs Elijah of what she has done to protect her family. So apparently as we know from last episode, Hayley went through Elijah’s journal to find out where Celeste’s remains were to tell Sophie. Elijah hurt by what Hayley has done tells her that Celeste asked him to hide her remains where no one could find her and never disturb her. Now Elijah’s promise to Celeste is broken and we know that Elijah’s promises are everything.

Sophie, who only cares about her niece, thinks that she must gather more power and must complete the Harvest. With Davina holding all the power, terrible things will happen. Wind, water and fire among other disastrous Earth shattering events will proceed and then it could be goodbye New Orleans. Sophie’s warnings are not taken lightly but Davina and her power are strong and convincing them gets a little easier. Davina’s death is said to complete the Harvest, where the other sacrificed witches will be resurrected, all the witches will regain their power and thus the Originals will lose their power over them. Not wanting to lose the empire they built, Klaus and Elijah go out to talk to certain people on their list.

Rebekah, still on her plan to win over New Orleans goes to Sophie to enlist her on her team. When it comes to it, witches will have their power and Rebekah will have her witch to take control. But could this happen? Davina must be sacrificed but Marcel is too invested in her to let that happen. While he has flashbacks of the day he saved Davina he says that he is done listening to Klaus, kills some vamps and takes Davina with him.

Elijah goes to the graveyard while Sophie tries to resurrect Celeste. Turns out that Celeste was Elijah’s one true love who we had found out about when he was delusional from Klaus’ bite. The night gets intense as time is running out. Davina is nowhere to be found, the Earth is shattering, but she is safe in Marcel’s arms who tells her that no one will hurt her. Father Kieran has no idea where they could be either, to Hayley’s surprise she finds a clan of ware wolves at the church where Klaus takes her. Surprised that Klaus would help out wolves, she discovers that they are part of Klaus’ clan. They share the same blood and so does the baby that is in her. As he leaves he gives her some advice, to just apologize to Elijah, he is a master of forgiveness. Wow, nice one Klaus, looks like there’s heart in there.

On the witches side it seems that they can’t bring Celeste back and they are losing time. As they tell Elijah that there is no other way he stops and tells him that there is one other witch who could provide the power. His mother. Elijah goes to Rebekah and Klaus to tell them the plan and then it’s time to say hello to dearest momma. Clever Rebekah knows the right person to go to to find out where Marcel could have taken Davina. Thierry knows exactly the correct spot and Rebekah seeks them out. Phase one, rain, starts to pour and the beginning of Davina’s terrible disaster begins. The Originals and Hayley along with Father Kieran unite to bring back their mother and finish the Harvest. Rebekah tells them that Marcel will bring her to them.

Davina on the other hand knows that her time has come. She takes herself to be sacrificed. As her throat gets slit, the rains stops. The girls are all laid down and the reaping begins. Sophie does the ritual but for a moment nothing happens. And nothing ever happens. The girls are not resurrected and it’s the end. Davina is dead and Marcel is torn. He has lost his friend, his family and the one person he cared about. Hayley and Elijah walk the streets of the town and she apologizes to him. Though it is hard for him to forgive her she tells him that she lives in the now. As she walks away Elijah grabs her and for an intense moment we all pray that he will grab her and give her the best kiss ever…but he doesn’t. He just gets close enough to want it, but backs away. So now Klaus and Rebekah ponder the loss of the tween witches but wonder one specific thing.

Where did all the power go? Rebekah starts to think, since four girls died, where and who has it now?

Something must be up though, a strange man appears out of the graveyard, the witch is making some strange concoction and other witches are entering New Orleans. As they all gather around, they ask what this is all for, the witch says first of all call me by my real name, “Celeste”! OMG!!

Hart of Dixie Recap: “Star of the Show”

20140113-202119.jpg

Welcome back to Hart of Dixie recap day! Refresh your BlueBell memory with last week’s recap HERE!

BlueBell is under merging problems and Lavon is still not into being out and about around town. To make him feel better AnnaBeth makes him an amazing breakfast but not good enough to make him go out.

lavon hayes, cress williams, annabeth nass, kaitlyn black

Oh heck no! Did George just say Tanzy in his sleep while he was next to Lynly. With a push off the bed George has to explain himself, but all’s well. Zoe on the other hand is being patronized by Joel on her creativity and decids he would edit a speech she was to make at a family gathering.

Shelby has now lost her creative director and the opening of her cabaret club is right around the corner. She is frantic and asks Brick to help and cancel all his appointments for the day. AnnaBeth and Brick are in dire need of Lemon whose scheming and plotting are all welcome at this time of need. So as Lemon is video chatted in she helps the Belles with the merger and Brick with the Shelby, creative director situation. Her advice, get the worst director to tank the opening and make Shelby disappear. Naturally Zoe walks in and volunteers herself! Well here we go!

Day one of Zoe and the “One Cellular Sensation” and she has high hopes for all the cast members. Joel does persist and asks if he is needed and would be of help but it’s a no for Z. She is so thrilled to be directing the show that she doesn’t see how Joel is trying to warn her about how maybe Brick plotted something with Lemon to get rid of Shelby. When he does flat out say it, Zoe says Brick would never do that.

Tanzy is down in the dumps with her beau but George comes to the rescue to tell her he is a jerk. But Tanzy won’t have it as she called Lynly a “crazy-eyed girl”, of course she creeps up behind them which makes for a quick exit for Tanzy. Cricket is out on the town trying to get Maryanne Matthews to stay in BlueBell. Now that her car is broken down Lavon steps in and tells her that the people of BlueBell are unique and they love their town. She spots the cabaret sign and asks for a front and center table as she is a fanatic of the showbiz. But oh boy is she in for a “cellular treat”.

Anyone else still annoyed by Wade and Vivian? Wade proposes a night out at a dive bar and Vivian agrees but Tanzy lets Wade know that she is a classy lady and he needs to step it up for her. Wade changes plans and Vivian has to change them so she won’t be able to go out with him. Though Wade is now over thinking about the hair flip Vivian does that Tanzy told him about. Hair flips equal uncomfortableness.

Lemon is on a good one this episode, via video chat that is. After contacting the Belles and her father, her next victim is Lavon who needs a pep in his step to do something about the merger. Then Lemon is on to George to give him a push towards Scooter and lawyering him out. As the four of them, George, Scooter, Tanzy and Lynly go on a hike things get heated when BlueBell and Fillmore merging talk comes up. George tells him about how they know about the shopping mall, Tanzy convinces George that Lynly might be a bit crazy and Scooter leaves frustrated by the fact that Tanzy spied on him.

While Brick confronts Shelby about driving him crazy and being unable to resist her, she faints and ends up at the doctors with low blood pressure. Now it’s bed rest for her and the cabaret is under Joel’s command per Zoe’s instructions. So it’s a revamp of the “Cellular Sensation” and back to the old 12 minutes of Shelby-inspired cabaret and to save the town!

zoe hart, rachel bilson, joel stephens, josh cooke

With Mrs. Matthews front and center the show begins. With a slow start, the cabaret is well, a, um…disaster. But wait! Shelby to the rescue, baby bump and all! In a carriage or should I say hospital bed, and bedazzled red sparkling outfit, there’s no stopping her now, add a kick line and her performance is a hit! Mrs. Matthews absolutely adored the show and discovered that the BlueBell people really do love their town. Merger saved!

Back in Wade town he makes a stop at Vivian’s house to see how she is. Embarrassed to tell Wade what her real problem is he starts to worry. But not to fret, it’s just that she is a single mother, has a little boy and loves her job and just can’t hang like the kiddos do. In George land, with Lynly drunk and asleep, Tanzy and George share a conversation outside his boat. They both tell each other it was harder to see the other with another person and Tanzy says, “sometimes I think i should’ve never let you go.” As she puts her head on his shoulder, the shot pans out to reveal Lynly overhearing their conversation.

Zoe Hart isn’t all done with her “One Cellular Sensation” show. She gives Joel one last song and it’s bed time for them. OK maybe they’re cute together but they ain’t no Zade, or Woe…Wade and Zoe, you get the what I’m trying to say.

Come back next week for another Hart of Dixie Recap!

The Originals Mid-Season Finale Recap: “Reigning Pain in New Orleans”

Originals

While it might have been a couple weeks since The Originals mid season finale, I just barely had time to catch up and watch it on CWTV.com. Up until now this new hit show has been my #1 go to and it keeps me wanting more.

If you’ve been like me and haven’t been caught up on all the great stories, dramas and fights going on recap the previous episode, “The River in Reverse”  HERE!

To make it short and sweet Klaus had left his brother and sister and had taken over Marcel’s territory claiming it as his own. He’s feeling betrayed by Elijah and Rebekah and took Hayley with him so as to not have anyone take his unborn child.

Now that Klaus reigns over New Orleans he is ready to let the blood flow. As he hosts a dinner and gives a speech about the vamp community and that his next step as leader is to kill all the werewolves. We flashback to Marcel and Rebekah discussing loyalty and staying alive. Then Elijah and Rebekah decide to rescue Hayley but she says no, she is fine but her family and people are in danger. Klaus on the other hand is still using Cami as his right hand scribe and now Marcel knows all about it. Little does he know that Cami has been leaving notes all around her apartment to remember why she keeps forgetting things after Klaus compels her.

Klaus as the new commander has a meeting with the “humans” about the rules and regulations in the town, not one to follow the rules he tells them his personal terms and to better watch it with the rudeness. While the vamps are scavenging for werewolves Elijah and Rebekah decide to let them know that they should leave. As the vamps leave the campgrounds Elijah senses a wolf, Eve is her name and she tells them that the wolves know how to protect themselves and they can’t be found unless they want to be found. The only problem is that the newbie wolves don’t know the best hiding spots, that’s where Elijah and Rebekah’s help come in hand. As they go to another campground they let the vampires know that they are serious, do NOT harm the werewolves…or else.

Hart of Dixie Recap: “Miracles” – Midseason Finale

HART OF DIXIE

It’s the midseason finale of Hart of Dixie and Hanukkah is coming around the corner for Joel and Zoe. But let’s not forget the bigger problem here Dr. Brick is going to be a dad! Forgot all about that? Recap last week’s episode HERE!

Joel’s nanna Sylvie is in town to celebrate Hanukkah and absolutely adores Zoe. She is a lovely lady who believes that this holiday is a time for miracles and reminds us that its a time to expect the unexpected.

Funny how things in BlueBell happen unexpectedly, Brick runs into Shelby who is so excited to see him and tells him all about Fancys and totally misses the news about her baby bump, Tanzy is back in town and Zoe has a patient who happened to be her uncle and gets along with him splendidly. She asks him to lunch with Joel and his nanna, they have a great time and Uncle Brando ends up taking a liking to Sylvie. Until Vivienne, Zoe’s cousin who greatly dislikes her, takes Brando away and tells Zoe to never get in contact with the Wilkes.

The Harvest Festival is upon BlueBell and things are going to get interesting. Brick has a date with Shelby and desperately needs an intervention as he is getting over his head with the baby situation. Lemon has to call up Grandma Breeland to take measures into her hands who unexpectedly advices Brick to marry Shelby.

The Vampire Diaries Recap: “Monster’s Ball”

Thevampirediaries

And we’re back! Last week’s The Vampire Diaries left us crying and gasping as friends reunited for Bonnie’s funeral and hottie Jesse is now becoming a vampire!

For the full recap of last week’s episode click HERE.

Halloween editions are always my favorite, though TVD is always spooky themed for me. This week The Monster’s Ball is upon college life and it’s dress up time for the crew.

We start off with Dr. Maxfield observing new vamp Jesse. Elena writes her sorrows as she deals with Bonnie’s death, Tyler and Caroline are back together and very much in love, or so we think.

Curious Elena knows there is more behind Dr. M and the death of her former roomie Megan. When she meets a random student at Megan’s memorial post she knows he is up to something.

thevamps

It’s kind of cute how Bonnie is still around and hanging with Jeremy. While they are with Damon they scheme for a plan to work with Silas. Bonnie tells Jeremy that this is not a good idea but since no one else can hear her Jeremy says it’s a go! Poor Bonnie is scared about the consequences of abusing magic. So here’s the thing, Silas wants to die, if he takes the cure, which is Katherine, he becomes a witch. If he dies as a witch he stays alive on the other side so he’s not truly dead. That’s where the problem arrives.

A mystical anchor that Silas wants to break down so that he can actually die is what is stopping him but Qetsiyah wants to keep it up and protect it so he won’t be able to die. Damon chitchatting with Silas is on the verge of setting a game plan until Silas wants Stefan dead to pursue his interest.

At the Ball, everyone is all dressed up and having a semi-grand time as Elena is on the hunt for finding out who Megan’s friend is who is interested in her death.  Damon offers up Stefan to Silas, Qetsiyah arrives and is interested in Stefan but Damon swoops him away. Once in the other room Damon snaps Stefan’s neck so that Silas temporarily has his mind reading powers so that he can fool Qetsiyah into giving him answers about the anchor.

thevamp

Dr. Maxfield arrives to the Ball, Elena asks for a dance and asks why he lied on the death certificate. We find out that Doctor himself knows that a vampire ripped her throat out and then warms Elena to leave her school and never come back. Sketchy professor right? But one thing we know is that he cares for Aaron, who happens to be the guy that was questioning Megan’s death. Dr. Maxfield is Aaron’s legal guardian.

As we go back to Silas pretending to be Stefan, the real Stefan wakes up and snaps Damon’s neck, runs over to Qetsiyah and tells her that Silas is the one that she’s been talking to. Qetsiyah not one to easily forgive, literally crushes Silas’s heart so he can rot from the inside out.

Meanwhile we discover that Katherine has a daughter and it’s none other than Nadia, the traveler. While Nadie has been keeping her for her own reason’s we find out the story of how Nadie was left behind.

Sad news comes as Tyler says goodbye once more to Caroline. Tyler who’s on a quest to seek revenge against Klaus tells Caroline that he can’t be with her while he wants to hurt Klaus as much as he hurt him and his family. Caroline angered by his attitude gives him an ultimatum, going after Klaus and never being with her again, or staying and being happily together. As Tyler takes a step, we know it’s over.

We end this marvelous episode at the Salvatore estate where Damon and Elena have dried up Silas. Katherine joins the gang and gets thrilled as she thinks that she has more time to spare now that Silas can’t get her. Wrong move K, Damon takes her and feeds her to Silas as she screams that she doesn’t want to die. Draining her of her blood, Katherine is left for dead on the floor…or so we think!

Next week Silas is up and running and ready to die!

What are your thoughts on this week’s episode?
