Carolina Herrera debuted her Fall Winter 2016 line during New York Fashion week to an eager audience awaiting to see the Venezuelan designer’s latest collection. The show was held on Feb. 15 at The Frick Collection in NYC. The ultra feminine and classic collection was filled with soft hues, modern pieces with embellished gowns, flowy chiffon and floral designs.
Below are a couple of my favorite looks!
“It’s just what I want to wear now but in a fresh way,” Victoria Beckham stated about her newest Fall Winter 2016 collection she revealed during New York Fashion Week on Sunday, Feb. 14.
The British designer showcased a line filled with plaid, in hues of autumn such as brown, greys, forest green and burgundy, even adding mustard color to the mix of corset-type dresses, mid-length skirts, and sweater dresses.
The biggest Hollywood stars stepped out to attend the 2016 Golden Globe Awards held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday, January 10 in Los Angeles.
This year I was even more excited to watch the ceremony since I had seen many of the nominated films. But above all, I kept my eyes open to take in all the hottest fashion looks and select my favorites of the night.
Here are my picks for top 3 best dressed actresses:
Cuba = Amazing! What an experience!
I had the opportunity to go to Cuba from December 4 to the 8 and it was overall an extraordinary trip that I took with Garrett.
We decided to go there after I told him that I wanted to take a relaxing vacation after many months of hard work. I had also seen a couple people I knew post incredible photos from there.
We booked our trip and flew out of Tijuana, with a stop in Mexico City, before we left to Havana. In TJ we had to get a tourist visa, which was about $30, and when we got to Mexico City we had to get another one for like $15. In Cuba they didn’t stamp our passports just the visa and on our way back home our boarding pass. We took cash and exchanged all we had once we got to the Havana airport (since you can’t use ATMs anywhere or take out money.)
We arrived by taxi to a beautiful plaza where a nice gentleman led us to our hotel. We walked through cobblestone streets and saw how alive the city was. We saw people dancing on the streets with a live band inside a restaurant called Café Paris. Once we checked into Hotel Marques de Prado, also known as Hotel Florida, we walked out and grabbed dinner in the plaza near where we got dropped off.
Matching sets are still all the rage and I am one fan still riding its trending train. This pant set that you see above is from F21 and cost roughly around $30. It’s a simple black and white, checkered top and pant that can be dressed up with heels and a blazer or dressed down with flats and a leather jacket.
Never be afraid to match. Tops and skirts, tops and shorts and tops and pants. There is a wide variety of matching ensembles ready for you to make your own!
Send me links to your favorite sets you’ve seen! Happy shopping.
Every Fashion Week the show that I look most forward to is Valentino. The recent designs of Pierpaolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri for Summer/Spring 2016 were just exquisite and immediately after the show I always have to look at every piece once it’s posted online. Last season the house wow-ed us with having “Zoolander” stars Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson walk the runway, this time during Paris Fashion Week they opted for a more celeb catwalk-free spectacle and more of an African inspired collection. Take a look for yourself!
One place that we all tend to spend most of our time is our bedroom. We dress ourselves up and keep all of our must haves in this special place, so why shouldn’t we get to style our sleeping quarters as well?
After moving into a miniscule room I decided to gather some fashion forward ideas to help me maximize space and dress it up. Believe me this space is tiny, but I have to work with what I have and have some ideas stocked up. Now let’s see how you can take some of my tips and give your bedroom a mini makeover.
