“The Vampire Diaries” recap: “The World Has Turned and Left Me Here”

The Vampire Diaries

Welcome, welcome VD Lovers!

Let chit chat about “The Vampire Diares” episode 5 “The World Has Turned and Left Me Here.”

If you haven’t caught up from last week or don’t remember all that happened, recap last episode, “Black Hole Sun,” HERE.

From what we can shortly recap is that Ivy is now a vampire and Stefan wakes up because his phone is ringing and gets a call from the coach who says that he still has Enzo in his possession and is torturing him. Once he hangs up he hears Ivy in the kitchen and sees her with blood in her mouth and she starts to tell him that she killed his boss. She is a sassy little one and says that she can’t control her emotions and even references “Buffy The Vampire Slayer” 😉 She gets all rallied up and goes after Stefan but he snaps her neck.

We then arrive at Caroline’s dorm with Stefan and Ivy in a trunk. He is asking her to take care of Ivy in the meantime and of course Caroline gives in. Next we see Alarec is teaching and we find out that it is Homecoming, does this mean another party? But he goes on and tells a tale of Homecoming and that the morale of the story is to never fall in love with your brother’s girl and looks at Elena who is in his class and asks if he wants to have her compulsion removed and she says no. After class Elena asks Liam to the Corn Maze and it’s a date!

“The Vampire Diaries” recap: “Black Hole Sun”

“Vampire Diaries” fans unite to recap the 4th episode, “Black Hole Sun.”

Forgot what happened before? Recap the last episode HERE.

We start off with Damon with Kai, the guy that they found in the “twilight zone,” when Bonnie comes in and they start to bicker about how they have to figure out how to get out of there and why 1994 is a significant year.

We go back to 1994 to supposedly the time when Damon did “worst thing ever.” We see Damon go to the Salvatore home to see Stefan but he can’t enter his home. That’s because a human owns the home and then he lets him in.

Now we go back to present time with Stefan on a call with Elena about trying to find Sarah, the girl that they compelled but now remembers that Elena is a vampire. Stefan is trying to leave town but Elena won’t let him. She is probably in Mystic Falls where the vampires can’t go and then says that it’s Matt and Jeremy’s responsibility to find her. So Alarec is with Jer who is super hungover at the doctors.

BlackHoleSunSneak2-feature-2

Now we go over to Matt and the couch who knows everything about the vampires but they start talking about this guy Jay who has gone missing. Back to “twilight zone” with D & B and Kai who wants to know Damon’s story.

The Vampire Diaries recap: “Welcome To Paradise”

The Vampire Diaries

Welcome to episode 3 of the new season of “The Vampire Diaries.”

Need to recap on episode prior to this, click HERE.

Now we start off with Stefan having anger issues, asking his boss for time off and telling him he’s leaving town while showing him his dead girlfriend, Ivy, in the back of his trunk. So honest, but then again he’s being compelled.

Elena is now Damon-free and with no thoughts of what happened between them, Jeremy is still struggling dealing with Bonnie’s death and it seems like there is a big party going down tonight and everyone is inviting everyone.

Stefan appears back at Elena’s school, she is happy to see him so they go and catch up. He tells her she seems different and happier and they talk about Ivy and the “dinner part from hell.”

We flash over to the other world where Bonnie and Damon are at the grocery store and then while they are there they hear the merry go round outside turn on, thus Bonnie say that it is a sign of hope. As they talk about hope and getting back to the real world all of a sudden they see cars, one of them being Damon’s. Things are starting to get strange  because all of a sudden someone swooshes by. That “someone” ends up being a tarp but then the merry go round starts playing again.

The Vampire Diaries Recap: “Yellow Ledbetter”

The Vampire Diaries

Welcome back for episode 2 of “The Vampire Diaries!”

It feels great to have the boys – Stefan & Damon, mostly Stefan 😉 – back in our lives.

Forgot what happened last episode? Read the recap of the first episode of the 6th season click here!

Now let’s chat about what we saw in “Yellow Ledbetter.”

At the end of last episode we saw Bonnie and Damon having breakfast. Now in the beginning we see them together post “end of the other side.”

They wake up and are in Mystic Falls but there are no people and something is different, “Where are we?,” Damon says, “I have no idea,” Bonnie replies.

So Stefan is in Savannah, Georgia and the girl he’s with, whose name is Ivy, has made him breakfast post one-night-stand. She gets uncomfortable because she realizes she is trying to hard but then he invites her to dinner. But how is Elena coping back home? From what we can see, still missing Damon but has chosen to pack up all the things that remind her of him. Thus also having Alaric compel her to forget him.

But oh!, look who is back in the picture? Enzo looks like he’s having a little too much fun with a girl who can direct him to a coven of witches to help get Bonnie and Damon back.

The Vampire Diaries Recap: “I’ll Remember”

The Vampire Diaries

Welcome back to the start of season 6 of “The Vampire Diaries!”

This is so very exciting since we left off with Damon and Bonnie stuck in the other world with no way to come back. This season promises to be filled with a lot more love, drama, violence and heightened emotions so let’s start the recap of episode 1, “I’ll Remember.”

Four months have passed since Damon & Bonnie left this Earth and Elena is not coping well and the vampires are not allowed back into their town due to the curse that the travelers have put upon it.

In the first scene we are in the woods with two youngin’s making out in a tent when they hear something outside which happens to be Sheriff Forbes. The two love birds are headed back to their car when something captures the girl and they end up being killed in the opening scene.

Elena has decided to become a med student to get unlimited access to blood. Something that I didn’t recall was that Alaric came back from the dead, is a vampire now and teaching at the college.

Stefan is trying to keep busy working at a body shop and is grieving in his own way. But is doing something undercover with a lady friend he met at his new location. Caroline dropped out of Whitmore and found a new home with her mom.

The Vampire Diaries Recap: “500 Years of Solitude”

Thevampirediaries

Welcome back to a new The Vampire Diaries and mid season premiere of “500 Years of Solitude”.  Refresh your memory on what happened back in December with “Fifty Shades of Grayson”.

Now it so happens that we left off with Katherine falling down the stairs from a heart attack. Another one suffering is Elena, who just got dumped by Damon. Damon in need of some guys night, decides to play a drinking game with Matt and Jeremy which is about who Katherine screwed over the most. Then with a call from Stefan, Elena, Caroline and Bonnie arrive to play as well. I think they’re going to need more booze.

Dying and annoyed Katherine just wants to end her life, even in death her vanity pours out like no other. Stefan is there to comfort her and musters up a little compassion. But maybe he shouldn’t. Then out of nowhere Nadia knocks out Matt while he’s getting more booze and Stefan goes to join the gang to drink but strangely praises Katherine. Oh and then it slips that Stefan slept with Katherine and Elena is just not having this new news. So Nadia arrives to tell them that they better help her keep Katherine alive or it’s goodbye Matt. Ugh she sucks!

The Vampire Diaries Recap: “Dead Man on Campus”

Thevampirediaries

Gotta love The Vampire Diaries and this week’s episode was one to love. Can’t remember what happened last week? Recap the episode HERE to get caught up!

Remember how Dr. Maxfield turned Jesse into a vampire? Well Jesse’s back in this week’s “Dead Man on Campus” and first thing he does is bite the hand that made him.

Bonnie now back from the dead, but the anchor to life and death, is enjoying college and ready for a rager that Elena and Caroline are throwing for her. First day though could be a tough one as she sees the spirit of someone who is ready to pass on to the other world, which means passing through her and pain.

Back at the Salvatore Estate, Stefan is dealing with his personal pains and thoughts he can’t escape. Trying to avoid everyone and not talk about his problems, Katherine persuades him to chit chat with her drunken self. He even gets to meet her daughter Nadia who happened to put a traveler in Matt and now needs her to remove him and find out what he wants. Turns out Gregger wanted to kill Katherine and Silas, good thing Katherine has the dagger that will kill Gregger, which she does and now Matt is free.

Now that Jesse is a vampire he calls Caroline to help him after he bites his roommate, little do we know that his roomie is Aaron who’s legal guardian is Dr. Maxfield. The Vampire Diaries Recap: “Death and the Maiden”

Thevampirediaries

Depressed, heart-broken and oh so pissed off Silas is on the run and who knows what he’s up to. As we know from the previous episode “Handle With Care”, Amara is back and is willing to kill Silas to save herself. So much for one true love. At least Stefan has his memory back but is that a great thing? Read the recap HERE!

Poor Stefan is remembering all his pains and toils and getting caught up with all the Mystic Fall craziness. Now that they have to keep Amara safe, everyone is waiting for Silas to perform the spell to bring back Bonnie.

Death and the Maiden

Fun stuff with Katherine though as Dr. Maxfield runs some tests on her, she’s aging and faster than she knows. According to the doc she’s got a couple months to live. As her daughter goes to college to go find her, the two chitchat it up.

Things get weird when Jeremy and Bonnie go to give Amara dinner and she sees and talks to Bonnie. Bonnie and Jeremy get things going as they discuss plans with Elena and Damon about making Bonnie be the anchor so that she can be in both places at once. Though to perform this they would need a witch and this is when Damon goes to Qetsiyah for obvious reason. Filling her in on the anchor swap from Amara to Bonnie, Qetsiyah says she needs something powerful to perform the spell.

thevam

As Elena tries to make Stefan not kill Silas fearing that it is too dangerous, Stefan details his life in the safe, drowning and trying not to lose hope. To make peace with his emotions, he feels he must be the one to destroy him.

Now as Qetsiyah has jumped in on the plan to make Bonnie the anchor, kill Amara and have Silas stay on the other side forever, she has asked to have all the doppelgangers unite. Elena, Katherine and Amara all get together for Qetsiyah as she starts the spell. All seems to be going well until a powerful being, or Silas spiritually interrupts. Silas now in Mystic Falls and in front of Qetsiyah and thrusts a dagger in her. Now as he leaves her to die Stefan calls him to let his know that he has Amara. As Silas finds Amara in the woods, emotions take over and both profess their love. Amara ready to die, begs Silas to kill her, until Stefan comes and the two battle it shortly until Stefan sends a dagger into Silas.

Death and the Maiden

Back at the house, Qetsiyah is finishing the spell with Elena. Elena begs Damon to go find Stefan to make sure he isn’t hurt. Little too late, Damon finds Amara in the woods stabbing herself and slowly dying. Bonnie shows up to Jeremy to say her goodbye as she tells him that Amara is dying. Hearts racing, Amara dying and Qetsiyah performing the spell, Bonnie asks Jeremy to tell her the third thing he wanted to tell her. As he goes to touch her, he does! Elena calls her name and her and Caroline run to Bonnie. She’s back! But wait, is there a catch?

Now that the spell is complete Amara is dead and Silas is on the other side, Qetsiyah decides to kill herself. Much to Katherine’s distaste, who was waiting for her to stop her from aging. As she slowly goes she says, “True love prevails, universe be damned.”

Now to the catch, as Bonnie is now back, Tessa/Qetsiyah appears and tells her, now that she is the anchor every living soul that dies will run pass her, she will feel every single death and it will hurt like hell. Are you kidding me right now? Poor Bonnie. Caroline goes back to school and tells Katherine that she must move out, a poor aging K is miserable and ready to pack her bag when her daughter shows up again and tells her to go with her back to Prague. Katherine rejects her invitation and tells her that she will never see her again.

thevamp

Elena and Stefan have a discussion in the woods about Elena feeling guilty about being happy the past summer while Stefan was miserable. He claims that he wanted Elena to be the one that would rescue him, and Damon. As Stefan buries Silas, thoughts of his misery and being drowned in the safe come back to him and he collapses. Thinking it was supposed to be over once Silas was dead he gets worried.

Next week we deal with Stefan still feeling Silas and the emotions that he desperately wanted to end and Bonnie’s new life as the anchor to the living and dead.

What were your thoughts on this episode? Think Silas is really gone?

The Vampire Diaries Recap: “Monster’s Ball”

Thevampirediaries

And we’re back! Last week’s The Vampire Diaries left us crying and gasping as friends reunited for Bonnie’s funeral and hottie Jesse is now becoming a vampire!

For the full recap of last week’s episode click HERE.

Halloween editions are always my favorite, though TVD is always spooky themed for me. This week The Monster’s Ball is upon college life and it’s dress up time for the crew.

We start off with Dr. Maxfield observing new vamp Jesse. Elena writes her sorrows as she deals with Bonnie’s death, Tyler and Caroline are back together and very much in love, or so we think.

Curious Elena knows there is more behind Dr. M and the death of her former roomie Megan. When she meets a random student at Megan’s memorial post she knows he is up to something.

thevamps

It’s kind of cute how Bonnie is still around and hanging with Jeremy. While they are with Damon they scheme for a plan to work with Silas. Bonnie tells Jeremy that this is not a good idea but since no one else can hear her Jeremy says it’s a go! Poor Bonnie is scared about the consequences of abusing magic. So here’s the thing, Silas wants to die, if he takes the cure, which is Katherine, he becomes a witch. If he dies as a witch he stays alive on the other side so he’s not truly dead. That’s where the problem arrives.

A mystical anchor that Silas wants to break down so that he can actually die is what is stopping him but Qetsiyah wants to keep it up and protect it so he won’t be able to die. Damon chitchatting with Silas is on the verge of setting a game plan until Silas wants Stefan dead to pursue his interest.

At the Ball, everyone is all dressed up and having a semi-grand time as Elena is on the hunt for finding out who Megan’s friend is who is interested in her death.  Damon offers up Stefan to Silas, Qetsiyah arrives and is interested in Stefan but Damon swoops him away. Once in the other room Damon snaps Stefan’s neck so that Silas temporarily has his mind reading powers so that he can fool Qetsiyah into giving him answers about the anchor.

thevamp

Dr. Maxfield arrives to the Ball, Elena asks for a dance and asks why he lied on the death certificate. We find out that Doctor himself knows that a vampire ripped her throat out and then warms Elena to leave her school and never come back. Sketchy professor right? But one thing we know is that he cares for Aaron, who happens to be the guy that was questioning Megan’s death. Dr. Maxfield is Aaron’s legal guardian.

As we go back to Silas pretending to be Stefan, the real Stefan wakes up and snaps Damon’s neck, runs over to Qetsiyah and tells her that Silas is the one that she’s been talking to. Qetsiyah not one to easily forgive, literally crushes Silas’s heart so he can rot from the inside out.

Meanwhile we discover that Katherine has a daughter and it’s none other than Nadia, the traveler. While Nadie has been keeping her for her own reason’s we find out the story of how Nadie was left behind.

Sad news comes as Tyler says goodbye once more to Caroline. Tyler who’s on a quest to seek revenge against Klaus tells Caroline that he can’t be with her while he wants to hurt Klaus as much as he hurt him and his family. Caroline angered by his attitude gives him an ultimatum, going after Klaus and never being with her again, or staying and being happily together. As Tyler takes a step, we know it’s over.

We end this marvelous episode at the Salvatore estate where Damon and Elena have dried up Silas. Katherine joins the gang and gets thrilled as she thinks that she has more time to spare now that Silas can’t get her. Wrong move K, Damon takes her and feeds her to Silas as she screams that she doesn’t want to die. Draining her of her blood, Katherine is left for dead on the floor…or so we think!

Next week Silas is up and running and ready to die!

What are your thoughts on this week’s episode?

The Vampire Diaries Recap: “For Whom The Bell Tolls”

Thevampirediaries

Vamps be cray and this week’s The Vampire Diaries is just an example of how much crazier things can get in small towns.

Last week we found that Stefan has lost his memory due to the return of centuries-old witch Qetsiyah and her desire and need for revenge against her one true love Silas. Silas chasing after Katherine, who was taken by travelor Nadia, was intercepted by Qetsiyah’s spell she was performing through Stefan. Bonnie struggled to deal with death and for a moment in time had Matt on the other side to keep her company. With so many ups-and-downs we did discover that Katherine cannot be killed due to the fact that the blood that runs through her veins is the one thing that Silas wants – the cure.

*Spoilers ahead

Now as Remembrance Day is upon Mystic Falls, that can only mean one thing – trouble.

As dear bro Damon is working as story-teller to recap Stefan on the past centuries of his life, Elena tries her luck on reminding him of who he was. As sparks start to ignite between Stefan and Elena an almost kiss happens, I’m squealing with excitement, Elena pulls back to remind herself, and Stefan, that she is with Damon, something that they had neglected to inform him.

tvd

Matt, worried about his sudden blackouts and loss of time, sets up camera’s around his house to figure out what is wrong with him. As we all know Nadia has bestowed a passenger inside of him. Face to video with his “other self”, things get eerie when he gets a threat from the passenger.

Stefan, drunk and in ripper state goes through complexities in his head about what the point of being good and well-mannered is when all is lost for him. Caroline helps Stefan come to somewhat of his senses after he almost rips new hottie Jesse’s throat off. Only to go back home to the Salvatore estate to tell Damon and Elena that he no longer wants to be the man in his journals and live there.

Jeremy finally lets out the truth about Bonnie being dead, first telling Damon, who then has to tell Elena who has to tell Caroline. Elena distraught with the idea of Bonnie being gone feels obliterated and her emotions take over. Caroline finds console in the hands of Stefan who recognizes the fact that she is the only one he can trust in his new memory-less life.

tvdbonnie

The end of the episode brings us to a heartbreaking service for Bonnie, composed of Jeremy, Elena, Carolina, Jeremy and Damon. Bonnie appears to Jeremy who says, “It’s OK they need this, I need this.”

Bonnie reminds us that she is not going anywhere and even though they can’t see her, she is always with them. Yes, at this time I am crying like a baby as she tells everyone how she feels. Then SHUT THE FRONT DOOR, Tyler returns! Five heart breaking friends, and Damon, mourning over their best friend’s death.

Of course the story can’t move on without a little something, something to keep us on the edge of our seats! As we see Jesse getting checked by Dr. Maxfield he informs Jesse that he has vampire blood in his system and let’s him know what is to come! Shocked and confused Dr. M. does the unthinkable and kills Jesse to obviously make himself a newbie vamp!

Next week should be quite an episode with Damon wanting to work with Silas and the beginnings of a new life for Jesse. Also is Tyler here to stay??

What are your thoughts on last night’s TVD episode?
